About This Role
RGP is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support our clients in the Atlanta area with critical accounting functions. This consultant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting audit and compliance initiatives, and driving efficient month-end close, consolidation, and financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience across diverse industries, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
What You Will Work On
  • Lead and execute month-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses
  • Manage and analyze accrued liabilities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP
  • Support and perform consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations and preparing consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare and analyze financial results to ensure accuracy, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in a hybrid work environment to resolve discrepancies, align consolidation data, and enhance reporting efficiency
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions and reporting tools to streamline financial consolidation and data analysis
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within corporate or consulting environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, OneStream, Workiva, or Workday preferred
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and a consultative, solution-oriented mindset
