About This Role
RGP is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager on a contract-to-hire basis. This professional will be instrumental in enhancing internal controls, supporting audit and tax preparations, managing month-end close processes, and improving overall processes and systems within our client's non-profit organization.
What You Will Work On
Oversee and improve internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Assist in audit and tax preparation, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
Manage month-end close procedures, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
Develop and implement better-designed processes and systems to streamline operations.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
Provide strategic insights and recommendations for financial improvements.
What You Will Bring
Proven experience as a Accounting Manager, Controller or similar role in finance/accounting.
Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit, and tax processes.
Proficiency in managing month-end close procedures.
Background in working with Government agency funding programs (nice to have).
Experience using Yardi software (nice to have).
Ability to work on-site in Brooklyn, NY, 2-3 days a week (required). 
What You Can Expect
  • Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.   
  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Range: $ 65-68/hr DOE
