About This Role
We’re seeking an interim Business Systems Analyst with deep time recording and management expertise in driving end‑to‑end delivery of the implementation of a timekeeping solution. You will lead requirements discovery, map business processes, guide functional design, support testing, and coordinate across internal teams and vendors to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and scalable outcomes. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, delivery managers, and support operations, often within a matrixed environment.

Hybrid onsite 4 days a week (with some flex) in Burbank, CA.
Duration: immediate through April 2027
Rate:  $70-80/hr., depending on experience
What You Will Work On
Own requirements & process mapping
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements (BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Map current‑state and future‑state business processes (BPMN/flow diagrams), highlighting pain points and improvements.
  • Maintain requirements traceability from business needs through functional specs and test cases.

Facilitate design & agile delivery

  • Lead/participate in workshops, design sessions, and agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint planning, demos).
  • Translate business needs into clear functional designs and collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment.

Integration & data flows

  • Partner on interface design between timekeeping and HRIS/Payroll/ERP (e.g., SAP) and related systems (e.g., identity, scheduling, time clocks).
  • Produce data mappings, field-level specs, and error-handling approaches.

Testing & quality

  • Define test scenarios and UAT plans with the business; create/execute test scripts, manage defect triage, validate against acceptance criteria, and secure sign‑offs.
  • Contribute to the RAID log, proactively surfacing risks and mitigation options.

Stakeholder & vendor collaboration

  • Build strong relationships from end users to executives; coordinate with vendor partners and third‑party teams.
  • Provide clear status, facilitate decisions, and support cutover/hypercare as needed.
What You Will Bring
  • Strong timekeeping domain expertise (must-have):  5+ years working in time & attendance/time recording (policies, work rules, pay rules, accruals, overtime, premiums, meal/rest, scheduling).
  • Multi‑state experience; familiarity with California wage & hour nuances is a strong plus.
  • Hands‑on with one or more timekeeping platforms: SAP Time (S/4HANA/ECC, CATS, PT), SuccessFactors Time Tracking, UKG/Kronos (Dimensions/WFC), Workday Time Tracking, Dayforce, Infor, ADP eTime, or UKG Pro/UltiPro.
  • Prior exposure to time rules/configuration (e.g., Kronos/UKG/UltiPro rules) is a plus.
  • 5+ years as a BSA/Business Systems Analyst (or similar) with demonstrated ability to produce BRDs, business process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and functional specs.
  • Experience running UAT, writing test scripts, managing defects, and ensuring traceability end‑to‑end.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and consensus‑building skills in matrixed environments.
  • Familiarity with agile (Jira/Azure DevOps, Confluence) and SDLC best practices.
  • Experience integrating time systems with ERP/Payroll/HRIS (SAP a plus).
  • Experience in Media/Entertainment or similarly dynamic, high‑volume scheduling environments.
What You Can Expect
  • An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.
  • Compensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
  • Total Rewards include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).
