About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EDM Consultant to support the transformation of a client's financial reporting capabilities. In this role, you’ll lead the design and implementation of financial hierarchies within Oracle EDM, driving automation and efficiency across reporting processes. You’ll work closely with Accounting, Finance, and IT teams to establish scalable, well-governed data structures that align with Oracle Cloud GL and broader enterprise systems. This is a high-impact opportunity to influence the future state of financial reporting during a period of strategic modernization.

While there is a strong preference for candidates based in Charlotte, NC (onsite three days a week), highly qualified remote consultants will also be considered, with occasional travel as needed.
What You Will Work On
  • Design and build financial hierarchies within Oracle EDM to support accurate, scalable, and efficient reporting.
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to assess current reporting structures and identify opportunities for automation and simplification.
  • Align EDM designs with enterprise data governance policies and Oracle Cloud GL requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT and Oracle EPM teams to ensure seamless integration and consistent data flow across systems.
  • Provide knowledge transfer, training, and documentation to empower internal stakeholders on EDM functionality and best practices.
  • Contribute to the broader finance transformation efforts by bringing technical insight and best practices from prior Oracle EDM implementations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hierarchy design, metadata management, and system performance within EDM.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Oracle EDM, specifically in designing and managing financial hierarchies.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting structures and a solid background in Accounting or Finance.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud General Ledger (GL) and its integration with EDM.
  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable, well-governed EDM solutions.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation or system modernization initiatives.
  • Exposure to Oracle EPM solutions and broader Oracle Cloud or E-Business Suite ecosystems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across Finance, Accounting, and IT teams.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail and data integrity.

  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Range: $75-95/hour.
