About This Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support our finance team across accounts payable functions and general accounting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on in a dynamic environment, is comfortable with automation tools, GAAP and can thrive with minimal oversight. You will play a key role in coding invoices, supporting vendor processes, and contributing to financial accuracy and efficiency.
What You Will Work On
• Process accounts payable transactions following established procedures and workflows
• Code and enter invoices into the general ledger system using Workday ERP
• Manage vendor onboarding and ensure proper system setup / coding setup
• Central inbox management to ensure timely follow-up with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Verify invoice accuracy and ensure timely processing
• Provide professional communication and follow-up with third-party vendors
• Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities
• Maintain accurate records and documentation

What You Will Bring
• 3-5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Workday ERP experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Salesforce CRM knowledge is a plus.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional communication skills for vendor interactions.
• Team player mentality - essential for our collaborative culture.
• Ability to adapt and learn established processes quickly.

What You Can Expect
  • This role is a 6-month contract role, with Hybrid work model 4 days Onsite in Chicago, Illinois, West Loop.
  • There is no relocation assistance, 1099, C2C, or H1-B sponsorship available.
  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Range: $35/hr-$40/hr DOE
