About This Role
We are looking for a Product Owner  focus on Major Medical Expenses to lead the end-to-end definition, design, prioritization, and implementation of a new GMM product. This role is responsible for ensuring the product’s commercial viability, regulatory compliance, technical enablement, and seamless operation across digital customer and distributor platforms.
You will maximize product value through effective backlog management, cross-functional collaboration, and incremental delivery using agile methodologies, acting as a key bridge between business, technology, and operations.
What You Will Work On
Product Definition & Digital Enablement

Lead the functional definition and implementation of the GMM product across digital platforms for customers and distributors, including quotation, issuance, self-service, claims, and renewals.

Define and manage functional specifications related to medical service providers and digital/virtual care tools.

Ensure alignment between functional design, business objectives, and customer experience.

Agile Management & Delivery

Own and prioritize the product backlog for core insurance systems and digital channels.

Work closely with the Scrum Master, development, architecture, and QA teams to deliver high-quality product increments.

Define and communicate product goals, roadmap, and acceptance criteria.

Participate actively in agile ceremonies, demos, and stakeholder validations.

Processes & Product Operation

Map and define end-to-end operational processes, including claims, issuance, payments, renewals, agreements, customer service, and back-office functions (fiscal/accounting).

Ensure the availability and consistency of operational, contractual, and commercial documentation.

Coordinate with medical, operational, and vendor teams to ensure proper implementation of GMM policies and processes.

Lead the commercial implementation of the product across different channels, business lines, and sales forces.

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate closely with Actuarial, Operations, IT, Finance, Marketing, Legal, CX, and Claims teams.

Align expectations with product leadership, commercial teams, and senior management.

Participate in market reviews and technical-commercial strategy sessions.
What You Will Bring
  • Experience & Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. Postgraduate studies in Insurance or Project Management are a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in product development or product management within the insurance sector, specifically in Major Medical Expenses (GMM).

  • 8+ years of experience in digital transformation or technical implementation projects in insurance.

  • Proven experience with customer-facing digital tools and journey/experience mapping.

  • Hands-on experience working under agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong capability in functional requirements definition and documentation.
  • Solid understanding of GMM operational and claims processes.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and DevOps.
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination skills.
