As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and control of financial projects, managing initiatives at various stages from inception to implementation or intermediate phases. You will oversee project progress, identify risks, and establish mitigation plans, maintaining clear and consistent communication with senior management and stakeholders to report updates, challenges, and strategic recommendations that facilitate decision-making. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with banking regulations, financial policies, and internal controls, while promoting operational efficiency, process optimization, and automation within financial functions.
What You Will Work On
Develop, plan, and execute complex financial projects across different phases, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and required resources in collaboration with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Compliance teams.
Drive project execution, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks or obstacles.
Communicate project status, key challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
Design and implement risk and mitigation plans to ensure continuity and control throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal controls, and financial policies. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency, facilitating cross-functional coordination and managing vendor relationships when necessary.
What You Will Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. MBA and professional certifications (PMP, PMI) are preferred.
Experience: Over 8 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a strong background in Finance or Accounting projects within banking or insurance sectors.
Financial Systems Expertise: Direct experience in financial systems implementation or migration projects.
Governance & Project Management: Proven experience designing and implementing project governance structures, tracking issues, and coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency and intermediate to advanced skills in project management tools (Microsoft Project).
Languages: Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional coordination, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Financial Knowledge: Advanced understanding of accounting concepts and financial systems used in banking environments.
