About This Role
As a Plant Accounting Consultant you will step in and provide temporary support at a large manufacturing facility in Elmore, OH. This hands-on consulting role will help backfill for team members on leave and assist with core accounting functions. You’ll work closely with the finance team and operations leadership on a range of responsibilities. This role requires someone who can jump in quickly and add value in a fast-paced environment. While there's no direct supervision, you’ll play a key part in keeping operations running smoothly.

Onsite presence is preferred Tuesday through Thursday, with some flexibility.
What You Will Work On
  • Support day-to-day plant accounting operations during temporary staffing gaps
  • Perform cost accounting and inventory valuation activities, including variance analysis
  • Assist with month-end close and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and support budgeting processes
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation (especially in the fall)
  • Leverage SAP and advanced Excel for reporting, data analysis, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Adapt quickly to internal practices and contribute to process continuity during coverage
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5+ years of cost/plant accounting experience
  • Experienced with general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, variance analysis and strong knowledge of US GAAP 
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred, and strong Excel 
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills to build relationships and foster trust at all organizational levels and a strong client service orientation
