About This Role
As an Accounting Consultant, you will be responsible for performing complex accounting and financial analysis assignments within Lawson. You will contribute to the accuracy of financial statements and develop impactful analytics. You may also approve reconciliations, provide guidance and training to accounting staff, and support financial management and administration.
What You Will Work On
  • Compile and analyze complex financial data to prepare and upload journal entries, including consolidations and eliminations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support month-end close by reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, researching variances, and communicating findings to management.
  • Reconcile complex general ledger accounts with monthly statements; approve reconciliations prepared by accounting staff and report material variances.
  • Prepare schedules and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including auditors; assist in financial statement preparation (balance sheet, P&L, etc.).
  • Analyze expenses, revenues, and financial commitments to forecast future trends and inform management decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and reporting deadlines; identify and communicate discrepancies and compliance issues.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting 
  • CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of directly relevant accounting experience, including advanced financial accounting knowledge
  • Strong analytical capabilities sufficient for providing and interpreting variance analysis
  • Experience with Lawson 10 accounting software
  • Advanced level Excel skills to include pivot tables, vlookups, macros, etc.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Healthcare industry experience is a plus
