About This Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Inventory Systems & Accounting Analyst to support inventory reporting, system enhancements, and audit compliance across our operations. This role serves as a key liaison between field operations, finance, logistics, and IT, ensuring accurate inventory valuation and seamless SAP functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Reporting & Analysis
    • Monitor inventory margin reporting and address field inquiries related to cost discrepancies.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory variances, stock inaccuracies, and discrepancies through root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Transfer Discount (TD) Oversight
    • Maintain and adjust TD reporting, ensuring correct markup handling in SAP per company-specific configurations.
  • Audit Support
    • Assist internal and external auditors with SOX compliance and documentation related to inventory processes.
  • SAP System Enhancements
    • Participate in design, fit-gap, and impact analysis for SAP inventory-related enhancements.
    • Collaborate with functional leads and consultants to ensure system changes align with operational needs.
  • Master Data Integrity
    • Ensure accuracy of product/item master data, site mappings, and inventory movement types.
    • Coordinate and validate data migration efforts, including standard cost and PIR updates for new materials.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
    • Lead UAT for inventory-related system changes: define scope, build test plans, develop test cases/scripts, and coordinate test data preparation.
  • Inventory Valuation Validation
    • Validate inventory accounting and valuation accuracy in SAP post-changes and during cutovers.
  • Post-Go-Live Support
    • Provide hypercare support for inventory systems: monitor performance, identify early defects, and drive corrective actions.



This requires 5 days onsite in Loveland, CO
What You Will Work On
Inventory Accounting:
  • Reconcile the inventory sub-ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinate and support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on inventory costs, variances, and slow-moving or obsolete items.
  • Ensure accurate valuation and tracking of inventory, including raw materials and finished goods.
  • Review and process inventory adjustments; support warehouse teams in correcting count discrepancies.
  • Freight Accounting
  • Review and process invoices related to duties, freight, and other shipping costs.
  • Prepare accruals for inventory and freight costs not yet invoiced.
  • Analyze documentation and data from cross-functional teams to validate freight and duty charges.              
General Ledger (GL) Accounting:
  • Prepare journal entries, including month-end and year-end accruals and adjustments.
  • Perform reconciliations of GL accounts, with a focus on inventory and freight-related accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Collaboration & Compliance:
  • Partner with warehouse, purchasing, manufacturing, and transportation teams to ensure data accuracy and process alignment.
  • Provide documentation and analysis to support internal and external audits.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in inventory and accounting workflows.
What You Will Bring

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in inventory accounting or SAP systems support.
    • Strong understanding of SAP inventory modules and standard costing.
    • Experience with audit processes and compliance (SOX preferred).
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, logistics, finance, and IT.
    What You Can Expect

    • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
    • Pay Range: $50-$55/hr. (DOE)
