About This Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables, working closely with internal client relationship owners and directly with clients. Your ability to communicate professionally—both in writing and over the phone—will be critical to maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring accuracy and accountability in our accounts.
What You Will Work On
  • Review client payment history to identify outstanding balances or discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with client relationship owners to confirm payment status and align on follow-up steps.
  • Reach out directly to clients regarding overdue invoices, payment reminders, and account updates.
  • Track and document communication efforts and payment progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records.
  • Prepare and manage reports using Excel and other spreadsheet tools to track receivables and monitor trends.
  • Assist with month-end close processes related to accounts receivable.
What You Will Bring
  • Recent hands-on accounts receivable experience, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet tools (sorting, filtering, basic formulas, reporting).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and confident phone presence.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance follow-ups with multiple clients.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with client-facing staff.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a customer service mindset.
What You Can Expect
  • This role is fully remote. Must be able to support Central and Eastern time zones.
  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Rate: $35/hr - $38/hr
