About This Role
We are seeking a Data & Accounting Consultant to support banking operations projects, including data extraction, transformation, reporting automation, and documentation of accounting entries. This role will be key in ensuring accurate financial data flows and supporting the successful delivery of banking transformation and automation initiatives.
What You Will Work On
  • Support projects involving data mapping, data lineage documentation, and accounting process automation.
  • Extract, transform, and analyze financial data from multiple banking product systems (loans, deposits, interest, fees, commissions).
  • Document and maintain metadata, data flows, transformation rules, and data dictionaries.
  • Assist in reconciliation of accounting entries and GL posting across systems.
  • Collaborate with finance and IT teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance of financial data.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within reporting and data operations.
What You Will Bring
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Systems, or Industrial Engineering. Postgraduate studies or certifications in data analytics or process automation are preferred. 
  • CPA or DAMA certifications are a plus.

Experience: 
  • 8 years in consulting, financial operations, or IT projects in the banking sector. 
  • Exposure to banking product processors, GL posting, reconciliation, and reporting automation projects.
  • Experience in data documentation, data dictionaries, and mapping accounting entries.
Technical Skills: 
  • Strong data analysis skills. 
  • Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency. 
  • Knowledge of data lineage tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation) and GL posting logic is a plus. 
  • Understanding of banking product accounting. 
  • Ability to trace transactions across systems and document data flows and metadata attributes.

Soft Skills: 
  • Detail-oriented and structured. 
  • Team player with high accountability and learning agility. 
  • Clear communication with technical and finance users. 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. 
  • Familiarity with Data Element Matrix (DEM) or metadata repositories.

Languages: English fluent
