We are seeking a Director of Data Mapping & Accounting Transformation to lead key initiatives that drive finance modernization, data integrity, and operational excellence across our organization. This role will be central in connecting finance and technology teams to implement robust data governance frameworks, streamline accounting processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting across global systems.
You will serve as a transformation leader, managing complex projects, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and ensuring that all deliverables meet both business and regulatory requirements.
What You Will Work On
Lead Finance Transformation and Data Governance initiatives across multiple business units.
Oversee the design, mapping, and documentation of data flows, ensuring full traceability from source systems to financial reporting.
Coordinate accounting reengineering projects, integrating product processors (Loans, Deposits, Cards) with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
Manage data lineage, reconciliation, and metadata documentation, using tools like Collibra, Informatica, or Alation.
Conduct and lead cross-functional workshops with Finance, Risk, IT, and Operations teams to define deliverables and resolve technical or process gaps.
Implement data transformation and control frameworks to improve accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across financial processes.
Provide ongoing leadership and mentoring to project teams, ensuring high-quality execution under tight deadlines.
What You Will Bring
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Systems Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Postgraduate degree (MBA, Finance, or IT Management) preferred.
Certifications: CPA or DAMA desirable.
Experience:
12 years in Finance Transformation consulting or financial institutions.
English: Advanced (written and spoken) is a MUST
Proven record of success in Data Governance, Accounting Process Optimization, and Finance Systems Integration.
Solid understanding of banking core systems and general ledger integrations.
Experience managing data lineage, mapping, and reconciliation projects.
Proficiency in ETL logic, data flow documentation, and transformation controls.
Deep knowledge of accounting flows, chart of accounts, and close processes.
Experience with metadata repositories or Data Element Matrix (DEM).
Advanced Excel and strong command of MS Office tools.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional stakeholder management bridging Finance and IT.
Strong analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
