Our client is seeking a SR SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain/Finance Hybrid SME who will play an integral part in an S/4HANA MM & FI/CO implementation and integration. This consultant will serve as a cross-functional S/4HANA Materials Management principal consultant with strong FI/CO–Asset Accounting integration knowledge and hands-on SQL/HANA skills.



What You Will Work On

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead MM / Inventory / Fixed Asset / Supply Chain costing UAT: Design and refine endtoend test scenarios (P2P, inventory valuation, asset capitalization, monthend close) and ensure coverage of all critical business processes.​
  • Coordinate with business key users to execute UAT, track defects, analyze root causes (config vs. data vs. integration), and drive timely resolution with the wider project team.
  • Validate data migration and interfaces impacting materials, inventory, and fixed assets; use SQL/HANA queries to reconcile migrated data and financial postings (stock, valuation, assets, GR/IR, price differences).​
  • Analyze inconsistencies between MM and FI/CO (e.g., inventory vs. GL) using SQL and standard reports, and propose corrections to configuration, conversion rules, or master data.​
  • Define and sign off UAT entrance/exit criteria for MM / inventory / fixed assets, ensuring solution is fitforpurpose before golive.​
  • Contribute to cutover planning for inventory and assets (stock loads, open POs, asset balances), and outline hypercare support processes for postgolive defect triage in these areas.​
  • Act as primary MM / inventory / assets SME for business stakeholders during UAT workshops, issue triage calls, and golive readiness reviews.​
  • Support or review training materials and work instructions for warehouse, procurement, and finance/asset users to ensure alignment with the tested design.​

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS

 

Core SAP Domain Mix

  • Primary anchor: S/4HANA MM / Supply Chain SME
    Deep expertise in Materials Management covering procurement, material master, inventory management, valuation, and integration with logistics and production.​
    End-to-end process ownership for procure-to-pay, stock management, and material valuation across plants and storage locations in S/4HANA.​
  • Financial integration experience. Strong understanding of how MM integrates with FI/CO for material valuation, inventory accounting, cost of goods sold, and supply chain costing structures.​
    Working knowledge of Asset Accounting and Fixed Assets processes in S/4HANA, including capitalization, depreciation, and links between assets, materials, and projects.​

 

Process and Functional Experience

  • Detailed end-to-end process design
    Capability to design and optimize cross-functional processes such as procure-to-pay, plan-to-produce, and inventory-to-financial-close in S/4HANA.​
  • Ability to translate business requirements into integrated MM, inventory, costing, and asset processes that reduce inefficiencies and optimize supply chain performance.​
  • Supply Chain Costing & Inventory focus
    Experience with real-time inventory valuation, material price control, and cost element structures needed to understand supply chain cost drivers.​
    Comfort with advanced capabilities such as demand-driven replenishment and optimized inventory strategies in S/4HANA

 

Technical Expertise (SQL / HANA)

  • Strong SQL and data skills in SAP context
    Ability to query and analyze S/4HANA data models (especially MM, FI/CO, AA tables/views) using SQL on SAP HANA for reporting, troubleshooting, and analytics.​
    Familiarity with performance-aware querying, indices, and basic data modeling concepts to support custom reports and investigations.​
  • Hybrid functional–technical SAP SME
    Combines deep functional MM/supply chain and finance integration with enough technical skill (SQL/HANA, data structures) to work closely with developers and BI teams.​
  • They can act as a solution architect or lead consultant for S/4HANA initiatives where MM, inventory, costing, and fixed assets all intersect.
