About This Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in a part-time, interim capacity. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our month-end close process, ensuring GAAP compliance, performing general accounting duties, and preparing timely and accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You Will Work On
  • Lead and support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
  • Ensure all accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP and internal policies
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts with a high degree of accuracy
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various business units and provide ad hoc financial support
  • Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed
  • Provide accounting support during system transitions, process improvements, or internal projects
  • Utilize NetSuite ERP system for transaction processing, reporting, and data integrity
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to finance leadership and stakeholders
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-track preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
  • Proven experience with NetSuite required
  • Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a part-time schedule
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
What You Can Expect
Work Schedule & Commitment:
  • Part-time: 20–30 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule, though availability during core business hours is preferred
  • This is an interim role, ideal for a professional open to contract or consulting engagements
  • Onsite 3 days a week in San Jose, CA
