About This Role
Consultant will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, applying consistent accounting principles and procedures to record and analyze financial information, maintain the integrity of the financial records, provide transparent and accurate financial information to Senior Management, prepare complete and timely financial reports, and ensure adherence to appropriate accounting controls and policies. The Consultant will be able to demonstrate overall knowledge of financial reporting and accounting analysis. The consultant will assist in the preparation and review of financial reporting packages for both internal and external stakeholders.
What You Will Work On
  • Prepare, review and analysis of annual operating plans and quarterly reforecasts with our various teams and asset managers. 
  • Prepare various accounting reports and analysis as requested by property management and other related parties.
  • Analyze cash flows and manage contributions/distributions through the various legal structures.
  • Prepare quarterly financial packages, year-end audit packages and liaison with auditors.
  • Prepare, analyze and interpret monthly financial results to support the business.
  • Responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting, including month-end close entries, bank reconciliations, commodity tax remittances, etc.
What You Will Bring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong financial analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex situations and synthesize relevant information.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with HFM and JDE
  • University degree, preferably in Commerce, Business or Accounting or pursuing a Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
  • Minimum 2-3 years work experience in real estate accounting
