We are seeking an experienced reporting and analytics professional with deep Property & Casualty insurance / reinsurance expertise. This role is heavily focused on statutory and management reporting, leveraging strong technical accounting knowledge and advanced data capabilities to support business-as-usual (BAU) reporting activities. This position is not responsible for the close process (journal entries and reconciliations sit with the Reinsurance Accounting team).
Rate: $70-85/hr W2 (DOE)
What You Will Work On
Lead and support statutory and management reporting activities
Own reporting-related BAU processes (excluding journal entries and account reconciliations)
Analyze large, complex datasets to produce accurate and insightful financial reports
Partner cross-functionally to ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and process improvement
Support enhancements to reporting processes, systems, and data structures
What You Will Bring
Approximately 10–12 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting
Active CPA required (Accounting degree or MBA qualifying for CPA designation)
Property & Casualty experience within reinsurance and/or insurance
Strong technical accounting background with financial reporting expertise
Advanced systems proficiency, including hands-on experience with data warehouses
Heavy SQL experience (building and running complex queries)
Highly proficient in Excel and other data tools (e.g., VBA, Access, Power BI)
Demonstrated ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze large data sets to build models, reports, and queries
Experience with Workiva (Wdesk) a plus
