About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to provide support on a wide range of employment-related matters across North America and Asia. This role is ideal for an attorney who can operate independently and brings sound judgment to complex employment issues spanning multiple jurisdictions. The position is fully remote and offers an opportunity to contribute to high impact employment decisions and processes within a global organization.

Pay range: $90-120/hour

What You Will Work On
In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and business leaders, with responsibilities that include:
  • Providing guidance on employee separations, disciplinary actions, and termination processes.
  • Advising on employee claims, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour issues.
  • Reviewing and advising on employee handbooks, policies, and day to day HR and employment matters.
  • Supporting employment needs primarily across North America and Asia, offering expertise in regional nuances.
  • Drafting and advising on international employment agreements.
  • Providing support for incentive compensation cycles, including interpretation and application of plan structures.
  • Conducting analyses related to contractor vs. employee classification and other standard employment assessments.
  • Determining appropriate situations to engage and coordinate with local counsel in various jurisdictions.

What You Will Bring
  • 5+ years of employment law experience, ideally within a corporate or in house environment.
  • Strong expertise in U.S. employment law, paired with an understanding of global employment considerations.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and provide clear, pragmatic legal advice.
  • Strong judgment in identifying issues that require local counsel escalation.
  • Experience with incentive compensation programs and associated legal considerations.
  • Ability to conduct and explain standard employment analyses, such as employee vs. independent contractor determinations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with HR, business leaders, and cross functional teams.
