About This Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, and control of financial projects, managing initiatives in various phases—from inception to implementation or intermediate stages. You will oversee project progress, identify risks, and establish mitigation plans while maintaining constant and effective communication with senior management and stakeholders to report progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations that support decision-making.
Additionally, you will ensure compliance with banking regulations, financial policies, and internal controls, promoting operational efficiency, process optimization, and automation within financial functions.
What You Will Work On
• Lead transformation by developing, planning, and executing complex financial projects across different phases—whether from inception or intermediate stages—ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the strategic priorities of Senior Management.
• Define the project scope, objectives, timelines, and required resources in collaboration with Finance, Accounting, IT, and Regulatory Compliance areas, establishing a clear Governance framework for decision-making.
• Drive project execution, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks or obstacles while managing the escalation of critical issues.
• Communicate project status, key challenges, and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a timely manner, adapting the message to the audience’s level.
• Develop risk and mitigation plans that ensure project continuity and control.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal controls, and financial policies as an integral component of each project phase.
• Identify process improvement opportunities, promote automation and operational efficiency within financial functions, and facilitate cross-functional coordination while managing relationships with vendors and technology partners when necessary.
What You Will Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  A Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and professional certifications such as PMP or PMI are preferred.
Professional Experience: Over 8 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on Finance or Accounting projects within the banking or insurance sector.
Financial Systems Expertise: Direct experience in system implementation or migration projects.
Governance: Proven experience in designing and implementing governance structures to ensure project alignment.
Project Management: Demonstrated experience in issue identification and tracking, as well as coordinating multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and intermediate-to-advanced level in project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to manage stakeholders, coordinate across teams, and work effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
• Advanced Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting concepts, financial systems, and tools used within the banking sector.
