Export Compliance Specialist - Santa Clara, California, United States - 10018 - RGP

About This Role

On behalf of a strategic technology client, we are seeking trade compliance support focused on export control. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of export control regulations and demonstrate the ability to assess and determine necessary trade licenses and permits for newly established legal entities. This role also involves designing and implementing effective compliance processes to support global operations.

What You Will Work On

Lead import and export compliance activities in alignment with ITAR and EAR regulations, ensuring operational integrity across global trade functions.
Review and classify shipments with precision, ensuring accurate documentation and licensing for international transactions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, legal, and shipping teams to drive efficient and compliant trade operations.
Prepare and submit export license applications while maintaining thorough regulatory records.
Support the movement of components across domestic and international supply chains, including during periods of organizational transition and restructuring.
Regional experience in the US, China, Malaysia, Israel, and India (APAC) is essential.
Preference for candidates based in the US and aligned with West Coast time zones.

What You Will Bring

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Expertise with U.S. Government (USG) export/import laws and regulations as it relates to export/imports.
Expertise to comprehend and assess complex technical documents, papers, presentations and proposed export scenarios in order to provide accurate compliance guidance to the enterprise
Ability to translate complex concepts into understandable requirements pertaining to regulatory compliance and the ability to find compliant solutions

What You Can Expect

Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors. 
Pay Range: $85-100/hr.
