About This Role
RGP is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Head of SAP Service Line to spearhead the launch, growth, and delivery of our SAP advisory and implementation services. As a true “coach/player,” you will both architect the practice strategy and roll up your sleeves, engaging with clients, leading pursuits, and ensuring delivery excellence. You’ll partner closely with C-suite stakeholders, our Business Development teams, and the broader RGP organization to build a best-in-class SAP capability that drives measurable client impact and fuels RGP’s growth.
What You Will Work On
Practice Strategy & Growth
  • Define and execute a go-to-market strategy to build RGP’s SAP practice from the ground up.
  • Identify emerging market trends and service offerings (e.g., S/4HANA, SAP BTP, GenAI, Digital Core modernizations) to differentiate RGP.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing SAP talent and cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing.
Client Engagement & Delivery
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, shaping SAP roadmaps, business cases, and transformation programs.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex SAP engagements (architecture, implementation, integration, and change management), ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality outcomes.
  • Oversee resource planning, project governance, and risk management to maintain delivery excellence and protect client value.
Business Development & Alliances
  • Collaborate with RGP’s Sales and Account teams to shape and win strategic SAP pursuits—crafting proposals, solution demos, and executive presentations.
  • Forge and deepen alliances with SAP and partner ecosystems (system integrators, technology providers) to co-sell and co-innovate.
  • Track and benchmark competitive rates, consumption patterns, and industry best practices—advocating for “value-add” utilization and pushing back on low-value scope.
Thought Leadership & Go-to-Market Enablement
  • Develop intellectual capital (point of view papers, frameworks, accelerators) and evangelize RGP’s SAP capabilities internally and with clients.
  • Represent RGP at industry events, webinars, and client workshops—showcasing deep domain expertise and influencing the market narrative.
  • Drive continuous enhancement of delivery assets, methodologies, and accelerators to increase repeatability and margin expansion.
What You Will Bring
Experience & Expertise
  • 15+ years SAP leadership experience, deep expertise in S/4HANA/RISE/BTP, proven sales origination with enterprise clients, hands-on delivery track record, and demonstrated P&L growth.
  • Proven success in both “seller” (business development, C-suite engagement) and “doer” (program delivery, technical leadership) roles.
  • Deep domain knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and related modules spanning Finance, Supply Chain, and Technology.
Leadership & Team Building
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams of consultants and technical specialists.
  • Track record of creating scalable delivery methodologies, tools, and accelerators that drive consistent, high-quality outcomes.
Strategic & Analytical Mindset
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical capabilities into tangible ROI and business value.
  • Experience benchmarking SI rates, consumption patterns, and identifying “gold-plating” to optimize cost-to-serve and margin.
Communication & Influence
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills—adept at influencing C-level stakeholders and navigating complex governance structures.
  • Skilled negotiator, able to manage client expectations, scope change, and conflicts to safeguard client success and partner profitability.
Entrepreneurial Drive
  • Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and bias for action—comfortable operating in an agile, fast-paced professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated success in building new service lines or practices within a consulting firm or similar organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience launching or scaling an SAP practice or service line within a professional services firm.
  • Exposure to emerging technologies (GenAI in SAP, automation, analytics) and their go-to-market strategies.
  • MBA or advanced degree in technology management, operations, or a related field.
Success Metrics: Revenue growth, client satisfaction, delivery excellence, practice maturity, talent retention, and market recognition.
What You Can Expect
  • Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
  • Pay Range: $200,000-265,000

  • All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
