About This Role
RGP is seeking a hands-on Senior Accounting Consultant to support our client in the manufacturing industry, located in Bradenton, FL. This engagement offers the opportunity to stabilize and streamline accounting operations ahead of an upcoming acquisition. The client currently has limited system use, and the goal is to stand up a functional accounting department and transition from manual processes to QuickBooks.
What You Will Work On
  • Assess the current accounting environment and establish best-practice processes for daily operations.
  • Lead the migration of data from Clover to QuickBooks, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Partner closely with the current team, providing guidance and structure to obtain necessary financial data and documentation.
  • Develop and document procedures to support a sustainable accounting function post-transition.
  • Manage general accounting duties such as reconciliations, reporting, and inventory accounting.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector or similar environment.
  • Strong QuickBooks proficiency (required). Other large ERP experience preferred. 
  • Experience with inventory accounting and data organization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, largely manual environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; patient, supportive, and detail-oriented.
