About This Role
We are seeking an experienced interim accounting professional, Director level and above to provide critical leadership and hands-on support during a critical year-end close and reporting cycle to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and operational stability. Required up to 3 days onsite in the South Bay region of Los Angeles, CA.
What You Will Work On
  • Drive timely and accurate month-end close processes, including 10-K filing.
  • Oversee AP, AR, Payroll, and Cashflow activities as needed.
  • Identify and resolve errors and discrepancies; improve review processes to reduce close cycle time.
  • Research and advise on complex, non-routine transactions (e.g., impairment, equity, debt, etc).
  • Collaborate with external advisors (Big 4 or similar) for technical guidance.
  • Assist in addressing gaps in a company’s internal controls.
  • Partner with stakeholders to streamline and automate manual processes.
  • Manage and support a 20-person accounting team.
  • Be hands-on—roll up your sleeves to tackle tasks and meet deadlines.

What You Will Bring
  • Public company experience required (SEC reporting, SOX compliance).
  • Experience in CPG, Food and Beverage or Retail, highly preferred.
  • CPA, highly preferred.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise and ability to quickly understand complex schedules.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional review skills—meticulous and inquisitive.
  • Proven ability to work in a lean environment and take a hands-on approach.
  • Experience improving processes and implementing automation is a plus.

  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Range: $80/hr-$100/hr
