QA/Functional Test Specialist Consultant - San Jose, Costa Rica - 11144 - RGP

About This Role

One of our clients, is looking to engage a global team of consultants to help with the development and maintenance of Salesforce. This team is made up of a small team of technologists whose responsibilities include, among other items, leading the development and maintenance of~13 Salesforce applications that support various Tax Teams of our client, including the Portfolio Management Team.

We are a Consulting firm and we are looking for consultants based in: Sao Paulo, Brazil; Mexico City and San Jose, Costa Rica;

In Brazil and Costa Rica you will be hired as Independent Contractor in a B2B model as a consultant professional.

The Technology Development Support team will be made up of a mix of 4-6 consultants globally in these different roles: Senior Enterprise Application Developer, Senior Integration Specialist, Enterprise Application Developer and QA/Functional Test Specialist.

What You Will Work On

We’re looking for a QA / Functional Test Specialist Consultant to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of enterprise platform solutions supporting tax, finance, and accounting operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on functional testing, working closely with developers and business users, and validating that complex solutions work as expected — from workflows and integrations to analytics and dashboards.

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring high-quality releases for applications used by 2,000+ users.

What You’ll Do as a Consultant

• Execute functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for platform releases

• Test automated workflows, business processes, and configurations

• Validate custom applications, UI components, and enhancements

• Test reports, dashboards, and analytics for accuracy and usability

• Validate system integrations, APIs, and data flows across platforms

• Test data migrations, transformations, and data quality controls

• Document defects clearly and track issues through resolution

• Support release readiness and provide quality sign-off

• Thoroughly tested features and releases ready for production

• Validated workflows, integrations, and analytics solutions

• Clear defect documentation with severity and reproduction steps

• Reliable regression test coverage

• Quality metrics and testing summaries for releases

• Confident UAT coordination with business stakeholders

What You Will Bring

Core Experience (Required)

• 3–5 years of experience testing enterprise applications

• Strong experience with functional testing, regression testing, and UAT

• Ability to execute test plans and create clear, repeatable test cases

• Experience testing platform workflows, automation, and configurations

• Familiarity with defect tracking tools and QA best practices

• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset

Additional Experience (Nice to Have)

• Experience testing analytics, reports, and dashboards

• Exposure to API or integration testing

• Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Provar)

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

• Interest or exposure to AI-driven features or intelligent automation

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Platform Administrator Certification (e.g., Salesforce) – preferred

• QA or testing certifications are a plus but not required
