Senior Accountant - Brooklyn Heights, Ohio, United States - 11363 - RGP

About This Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong foundation in core accounting principles and day‑to‑day close activities. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who is confident with GAAP, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations, and who enjoys owning routine but critical accounting processes. Experience with more advanced areas such as SEC reporting or complex system implementations is not required, but will be viewed as a plus.

Pay range: $40-55/hour

What You Will Work On

Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, reclasses, and adjustments
Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances
Support the month‑end and quarter‑end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Assist with GAAP compliance and internal control procedures
Partner with cross‑functional teams to obtain and validate financial data
Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
Contribute to process improvements related to close, reconciliations, and reporting

What You Will Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Hands‑on experience with Journal entries, Accruals and Account reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
Experience with Blackline, Cadency or JD Edwards preferred
