About This Role
Our client is launching the California Film & TV Tax Credit Program for Animation and is seeking an experienced consultant with deep expertise in the Animation incentive/credit program. This role will lead the full initiative over the next 9–12 months, partnering with internal Directors preparing for the application windows and building a scalable long-term operational framework.
What You Will Work On
  • Lead the launch of the company’s California Film & TV Tax Credit program.
  • Manage end-to-end incentive lifecycle: application prep, eligibility review, cost tagging, documentation, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Advise senior leadership and communicate evolving CA incentive guidance.
  • Implement processes, workflows, and controls that reduce risk and maximize credit value.
  • Partner with production, finance, and legal teams to track qualified spend and ensure accurate submissions.

What You Will Bring
  • 8–12+ years in production finance/accounting or incentive management.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the CA Film & TV Tax Credit Program (required).
  • Strong understanding of qualified expenditures, union/guild payroll, and incentive compliance.
  • Production accounting systems experience (SmartAccounting, Vista, PSL, GreenSlate).
  • Proven ability to build processes and lead cross-functional initiatives.
