About This Role
This Tax Manager Consultant will support our client's investment platforms by managing complex fund taxation matters across credit, real estate, BDC, and REIT vehicles. This role is responsible for compliance, provision, withholding, investor reporting, and regulatory filings, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external service providers.

Pay Range: $75-$85/ hour W2


What You Will Work On
  • Prepare quarterly RIC/REIT compliance tests, excise tax analyses, and income tax provisions for domestic and foreign blocker corporations.
  • Prepare and review partnership allocations, federal/state returns, Schedule K‑1s, foreign filings, and estimated tax payments.
  • Prepare and review withholding tax calculations and filings (Sections 1441, 1445, 1446; multistate).
  • Review Forms 1042 and 8805; maintain W‑8/W‑9 documentation and tax basis schedules for funds and investors.
  • Prepare and review annual ASC 740 analyses.
  • Support FATCA/CRS compliance, FBAR filings, and related reporting.
  • Coordinate with external tax, accounting, and legal advisors.
  • Monitor tax developments, address tax issues, and respond to investor inquiries.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, operations, and deal teams; support broader firm tax initiatives.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–8+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, asset management, private equity, or a similar investment management environment.
  • Strong knowledge of partnership taxation, fund structures, and investor tax reporting.
  • Experience with RIC, REIT, BDC, and/or alternative investment vehicles.
  • Familiarity with U.S. withholding tax regimes (1441, 1445, 1446) and information reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Preferred: 
  • CPA and/or Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting.
  • Experience with FATCA/CRS, ASC 740, and foreign blocker structures.
  • Prior experience interacting directly with investors and external service providers.
