About This Role
The Director of Strategic Growth is responsible for executing growth strategy across the public sector portfolio specifically within the federal financial including Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Department of Treasury, and Securities Exchance Commission (SEC) vertical. The Director of Strategic Growth is responsible for driving pipeline development, leading capture shaping efforts, managing strategic prime and teaming relationships, and building senior-level client relationships within targeted federal financial accounts. The Director is responsible for growing RGP’s federal financial portfolio, establishing and nurturing client relationships, capturing and shaping pursuit opportunities and managing the revenue pipeline.

Base Pay Range: $140,000 - $175,000
Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation
What You Will Work On
  • Portfolio Growth Strategy: Translate portfolio strategy into actionable growth plans for near and long-term growth, develop and mature Tier 1 and Tier 2 pursuits, identify long-range positioning opportunities (12–36 months), align internal capabilities to agency demand signals
  • Prime Relationship Strategy: Lead executive-level engagement with priority primes and teaming partners, conduct structured weekly, monthly and quarterly prime pipeline reviews, influence teaming structures and negotiate meaningful workshare, identify under-leveraged contract vehicles and positioning gaps
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain program and office-level client relationships, identify white space and expansion pathways within agencies, surface early intelligence on funding, policy, and modernization priorities, coordinate executive engagement with Public Sector Lead when appropriate
  • Capture & Opportunity Shaping: Lead pre-RFP shaping efforts, develop win themes and competitive positioning, align SMEs and delivery leadership to capture strategy, drive structured pursuit readiness prior to solicitation release
  • Proposal Support: Support proposal process and deliverables as needed
  • Pipeline Governance: Maintain clear Tier classification across federal financial opportunities, ensure structured capture documentation, partner with Growth Operations for pipeline and system hygiene and intelligence support
What You Will Bring
  • Education: Undergraduate degree or higher
  • Located in the Greater Washington DC area
  • 10+ years of experience
  • Existing client relationships within federal financial organizations such as FDIC, IRS, Treasury, and SEC
  • Demonstrable growth and capture experience
  • Willingness to work within a Federal Strategic Growth team and mentor junior team members
  • Understanding of the Federal acquisition life cycle
  • Willingness to travel to client locations
  • Professional communication style
