About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic finance initiatives within a highly regulated financial services environment. This role is responsible for managing complex projects that support financial operations, regulatory compliance, reporting enhancements, and process optimization across the organization. The successful candidate will combine strong project management expertise with a solid background in Accounting and Finance, serving as a key liaison between business, technology, compliance, and operational teams. This position requires a collaborative leader who can drive execution, manage stakeholders at all levels, and ensure successful outcomes in a fast-paced and regulated environment.

What You Will Work On

Lead end-to-end delivery of complex finance and accounting projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Manage cross-functional teams composed of finance professionals, business users, analysts, technology teams, and support staff.
Define project scope, objectives, milestones, resource requirements, and implementation plans in partnership with key stakeholders.
Drive project execution, monitor progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
Provide regular project status updates, executive reporting, issue escalation management, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate governance standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate activities across Finance, Accounting, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams to achieve project objectives.
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support automation initiatives.
Support ongoing transformation programs and projects that are already in progress, ensuring smooth integration and continuity of execution.
Manage vendor relationships and third-party partners when applicable.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance across project teams.
Apply project management best practices and Agile methodologies to drive successful outcomes.

What You Will Bring

8+ years of progressive Project Management experience, with a proven track record leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within financial services or highly regulated industries.
Demonstrated career path in Project Management, PMO, Program Management. This position requires an experienced Project Manager; candidates with exclusively Finance or Accounting backgrounds and limited project delivery experience will not be considered.
Proven experience managing large-scale finance, accounting, regulatory, operational, or transformation projects from initiation through execution and closure.
Strong understanding of financial regulations, financial reporting requirements, internal controls, and risk management practices.
Demonstrated success leading diverse, cross-functional teams and coordinating stakeholders across multiple business areas.
Experience managing projects that are already underway, including assessment, stabilization, governance, and successful completion.
Strong project planning, execution, governance, change management, and risk management capabilities.
Familiarity with Waterfall & Agile principles and practices.
Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project and financial management systems.
Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, manage competing priorities, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
