About This Role
As the Interim Director of Financial Reporting, you will provide strategic leadership over the company's financial reporting function, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results. Partnering closely with Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Internal Audit, and executive leadership, you will drive compliance with GAAP, strengthen reporting processes, and enhance the quality of financiais insights that support business decision-making.
What You Will Work On
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process, ensuring accurate GAAP-compliant consolidated financial statements across multiple entities and business units.
  • Oversee the general ledger, chart of accounts, and reporting structures to support scalable financial operations and management reporting.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and insights to the CFO, Board, lenders, and other stakeholders, while supporting covenant compliance and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, leases, business combinations, equity transactions, and other non-routine events.
  • Drive improvements across financial systems, data integration, consolidation, and reporting processes.
  • Champion automation, standardization, and technology-enabled efficiencies to streamline close and reporting activities.
  • Manage the financial reporting aspects of external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit requests.
  • Strengthen internal controls, governance practices, and financial reporting processes to enhance accuracy and compliance.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; active CPA license required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, and technical accounting, including a strong foundation in public accounting (Big Four or national firm preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience researching, documenting, and applying complex accounting guidance.
  • Experience within private equity-backed companies and multi-location organizations; hospitality, entertainment, restaurant, or retail industry experience is a plus.
  • Proven success leading external audits and partnering directly with audit firms, technical specialists, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience driving financial systems improvements, process optimization, and reporting transformation initiatives;
