About This Role
As a Payroll Tax Consultant, you will assist with all aspects of payroll tax compliance, including preparation, review, and payroll tax analysis. Your primary focus will be advising companies on federal, state, local and payroll tax and regulatory compliance.
What You Will Work On
  • Prepare US Payroll Tax Compliance Forms
  • Support the payroll tax provision life cycle for domestic and international locations and prepare payroll tax adjustments
  • Prepare and review payroll tax packages and information questionnaires submitted to payroll controllers and provide overall support to the payroll department during compliance season
  • Assist with the preparation of annual payroll tax provisions 
  • Assist with the preparation for global payroll tax reporting compliance and the management of payroll tax obligations
  • Prepare and respond to Information Requests from the IRS on Payroll Tax Issues
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation preferred
  • CPA or CPP preferred
  • 4-plus years of experience with either a Big 4 Firm, Regional Accounting firm, and/or a Fortune 500 company
  • Significant payroll tax experience, with a focus on US Federal, State, and Local Payroll Tax regulations and/or International Payroll Tax compliance
  • 4-plus years of experience preparing and reviewing payroll tax returns, including Forms 941, 940, W-2, and relevant state and local filings. This includes preparing and reviewing payroll tax adjustments and gathering necessary payroll information to complete assigned payroll tax returns
  • Able to research, analyze, and make conclusions regarding specifically assigned US and international payroll tax issues with minimal supervision, and able to work closely with groups within a corporate structure, including HR, finance, legal, and operations
  • Experience with large payroll systems such as ADP, Kronos, Ceridian or Workday is preferred with strong Excel experience sorting through large data sets

  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
    • Pay Range: $55-85/hr.
