About This Role
Our client, a prominent leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a skilled Compliance & Financial Crimes Audit Consultant to support their Compliance & Legal Audit team. The role involves auditing several critical areas of compliance, with a primary focus on Financial Crimes, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Bribery, Corruption, and other compliance areas such as Privacy Compliance, Electronic Communications Surveillance, and General Compliance Audit Tasks.
What You Will Work On
Lead audit planning and scoping activities in collaboration with leadership.
Develop comprehensive audit plans, conduct fieldwork including testing and validation of controls, and review compliance policies.
Utilize data analytics to identify anomalies and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and identify potential compliance risks and weaknesses.
Provide actionable recommendations to improve the control environment and mitigate identified risks.
Prepare detailed audit reports and maintain thorough documentation of all audit processes.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management, ensuring clear communication and understanding.
Track the implementation of audit recommendations and conduct follow-up audits as needed.
Continuously monitor compliance indicators to ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements.
Work closely with existing teams to integrate audit findings into ongoing compliance efforts.
Support complex audit tasks and facilitate training sessions to enhance understanding and compliance across the organization.

What You Will Bring
Extensive experience in auditing compliance areas within the financial services industry, particularly in Financial Crimes (AML, Sanctions, Bribery, Corruption, Fraud).
Strong knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML), Anti-Bribery and Corruption regulations, Sanctions, and general compliance risks.
Proven ability to identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and recommend improvements to the control environment.
Proficient in using data analytics tools to identify compliance anomalies and trends.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present detailed reports to senior management.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support complex audit tasks.

  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
    • Pay Range: $65-85 DOE
