About This Role
An RGP Client in the Property and Casualty Business is looking immediately for experienced Accounting Consultants to support day-to-day Accounting Operations responsibilities. 

This role is FULLY REMOTE.

What You Will Work On
Accounting Consultant role.  Each Consultant will be assigned to execute Accounting for various RGP Client Insurance Businesses (Insurance Programs), and will be responsible for the following:
    • Responsible for Accounting tasks which include recording premiums produced by the Agent and Losses handled by Claims, along with applying Cash relating to open Accounts Receivable. 
    • This position will be assigned a group of programs and will interact with other Client departments (Underwriters, Operations, Claims, IT and Corporate Finance and Agencies Underwriting business).
    • Perform hands-on Accounting duties: book journal entries, reconcile Balance Sheet and other accounts, perform monthly and quarterly account variance analysis. E.g.: Process Premium and Cash Activity, Prepare: accounting adjustments, Premium Receivables, Reinsurance Statements, Monthly Reconciliation of GL to Sub-GLs, P&L Statements, Account Reconciliations, Ad Hoc projects as required etc.
    • Run certain Reinsurance calculations and assign based on Reinsurance Treaty (existing processes are established).
    • Data Aggregation and Data Review / Validation of Large Data Volumes Strong Excel skills and Data Analysis skills are required.(e.g. claims data, premium data, policy data, etc.)
    • Once Data has been reviewed and undergone a QA process, distribute data to management for review and then process updates into underwriting system that eventually flows upstream to other Business Unit data stores.


    What You Will Bring
    • Bachelor's Degree or other Advanced Degree.
    • Significant Accounting experience within the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry. Reinsurance Industry experience is a Plus.
    • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills.
    • CPA is a plus.
    • Expert Level EXCEL and Data Analysis skills.
    • Other Technology Skills: strong knowledge of various Accounting & Reporting systems in addition to Expert Excel (e.g. ERP's such as Workday, Power BI, MS Office Suite)
    • Ability to evaluate processes and identify opportunities for improvement. 
    What You Can Expect

    • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
    • Pay Range: TARGETED HOURLY PAY IS $65-75 PER HOUR, commensurate with experience.
