About This Role
RGP is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager on a contract-to-hire basis. This consultant will be instrumental in supporting the general ledger, financial reporting, internal controls and improving overall processes and systems within our client's non-profit organization.
What You Will Work On
  • Manage month-end close procedures, including GL reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Oversee and improve internal controls to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in audit and tax preparation, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Develop and implement better-designed processes and systems to streamline operations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations for financial improvements.
What You Will Bring
  • Proven experience as a Accounting Manager, Controller or similar role in finance/accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of internal controls, audit, and tax processes.
  • Proficiency in managing month-end close procedures.
  • Background in working with Government agency funding programs (nice to have).
  • Experience using Yardi software (nice to have).
  • Ability to work on-site in Bushwick Brooklyn, NY, 2-3 days a week (required).

  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Range: $65- $70/hr.
