About This Role
RGP has a Banking client located in the NY Metro Area who is looking for an Interim Counterparty Credit Risk Consultant to support process improvement, technology and reporting initiatives (80%) and manage the Counterparty Credit Risk team (20%).  

The role requires Ad Hoc Onsite at client locations (NY Metro area i.e. NYC, CT).


What You Will Work On
This Counterparty Credit Risk Consultant will:
  • perform continuous assessment of current systems and capabilities supporting Risk Management processes and recommend to Management any enhancements necessary to be at the leading edge of Credit Risk Management. This individual will lead or serve as the main stakeholder in projects related to those enhancements to ensure successful implementation and conclusion.
  • Oversee, monitor and manage staff engaged in evaluating the ongoing creditworthiness of counterparties and their compliance with OCC rules and other regulatory requirements, including analysis of financial statements to identify levels and trends in key metrics and ratios, awareness of material news and event disclosures, collaborative interaction with counterparties to identify root cause of issues or concerns, and escalation of counterparties requiring enhanced surveillance to department management.
  • Oversee, monitor and manage staffing engaged in evaluating assessments of Bank Clearing Members and other Counterparty financial condition, risk management and operational policies, procedures, processes, staff, and systems to understand how the Member is monitoring and mitigating its risk.

What You Will Bring
You will bring:

  • An Bachelors Degree of higher in a related discipline
  • Risk Certifications are a plus
  • Senior Level expertise in Counterparty Credit Risk and Risk Underwriting processes
  • Ideal candidate will have 10-20 years in Credit Risk and strong Counterparty Credit Risk Functional experience, Process Build / Process Development and Improvement Experience, Team Management and Project Management and Support.  
  • Experience should include in-depth understanding of CAMELS or other Credit Risk Methodologies.
  • Strong Knowledge of Credit Risk Credit Ratings and Underwriting Processes and proven use of Best Practices. 
  • Strong Risk Reporting and Data Skills are required.
  • Strong knowledge of Banking business and products including:  Clearing Risk; Banking Products such as Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI), Derivatives and the associated Risk.

  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Range: IDEAL PAY RANGE IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE, IDEALLY $85-100 PER HOUR USD. ROLE REQUIRES OCCASIONAL ONSITE AT ONE OF THE CLIENT LOCATIONS IN NY METRO.
