About This Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager/Senior to assist a manufacturing client in corporate tax compliance, including federal and state filings, monthly tax provision preparation and analysis, and transfer pricing study support. You will support the tax accounting and analysis process and transition responsibilities to the public accounting firm. You will also utilize your previous corporate income tax experience and/or public accounting experience to help the client ensure project success.


What You Will Work On
  • Prepare corporate federal and state income tax returns.
  • Focus on corporate tax compliance.
  • Support transfer pricing studies.
  • Preparation of business studies and qualitative data analysis
  • Analyzing tax trial balances and ensuring accuracy
  • Support corporate structural changes.

What You Will Bring

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive and relevant tax experience including preparing and/or reviewing corporate income tax returns.
  • US Federal Income Tax and/or State and Local Tax background
  • Able to creatively research, analyze, and conclude specifically assigned US tax issues with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work closely with groups within a corporate structure including finance, legal, operations, etc.
  • Experience working with transfer pricing.
  • Ability to work onsite in a north suburb of Detroit, Michigan.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • Master's in Accounting, Finance or Taxation is preferred.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
