Banking Project Manager - Ciudad de México - 9695 - RGP

About This Role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager with proven experience in the banking sector to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives in regulatory compliance, transformation programs, and core banking modernization. This role is critical to ensuring that strategic projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high-quality standards while managing risks, stakeholders, and dependencies effectively. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on project management experience in financial institutions, capable of navigating both business and technology domains.

What You Will Work On

Lead end-to-end delivery of high-impact banking projects across regulatory, operational, and digital transformation domains.
Drive strategic planning, scope definition, resource allocation, and budget management for large-scale initiatives.
Coordinate between business units, compliance, legal, IT, and external vendors to ensure alignment and timely execution.
Implement and oversee project governance, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and change control processes.
Ensure alignment with local and global banking regulations and audit requirements.
Report progress to steering committees and executive sponsors with clear communication and risk mitigation plans.
Manage cross-functional teams in Agile, Waterfall, methodologies depending on project needs.
Contribute to process improvement and lessons learned to strengthen project execution standards.

What You Will Bring

8+ years of experience in project management within the banking or financial services industry.
Proven track record in managing regulatory, compliance, system integration, or core banking projects.
Experience working with cross-functional teams including technology, operations, compliance, and senior leadership.
Strong understanding of PM methodologies and tools (MS Project, Jira).
Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into executable workstreams.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
PMP, Scrum Master is a strong plus.
Fluency in English is a MUST
