About This Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced 1st Line Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Tester to lead comprehensive testing and documentation of RCSA activities, with a primary focus on Operations and Broker-Dealer entities. This role plays a critical part in strengthening the organization’s risk management framework by validating control effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.
What You Will Work On
  • Conduct thorough testing of Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) to evaluate the design and effectiveness of key controls within operational and Broker-Dealer environments.
  • Accurately document testing procedures, findings, and outcomes in accordance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
  • Collaborate closely with business unit owners of the RCSA to facilitate testing activities, clarify control objectives, and ensure alignment with enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Identify and escalate control gaps, deficiencies, and improvement opportunities to 1st Line Testing leadership, providing actionable recommendations to strengthen risk posture.
  • Support continuous improvement of the RCSA testing methodology by contributing insights, refining documentation practices, and promoting consistency across business lines.
What You Will Bring
  • Demonstrated expertise in control testing, including thorough documentation of findings and clear communication of results. 
  • Proven ability to quickly assimilate prior year workpapers and efficiently get up to speed on existing processes and controls. 
  • Brings valuable experience in SOX control testing and internal audit, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
  • Background in financial services, with particular emphasis on Broker Dealer control environments, is a significant asset. 
  • Known for operating independently with minimal oversight, consistently delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines. 
  • Highly detail-oriented, with exceptional documentation and organizational skills that support audit readiness and compliance.
What You Can Expect
  • Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.   
  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Range: $60-$69/hr. (REQUIRED FOR REMOTE/COLORADO/NY/WA/CA - delete line if not)
