About This Role

RGP is seeking a seasoned Revenue Accountant Consultant with expertise in cloud-based platforms and a strong track record in managing complex revenue recognition for intricate deals.


What You Will Work On
  • Manage a portfolio of 10-15 deals, collaborating with multiple upstream teams, applying accounting policies, and operationalizing accounting
  • treatments for revenue recognition
  • Perform RSP analysis and manual allocations
  • Write and modify SQL queries to connect and aggregate data from various sources
  • Ensure the accuracy of calculations within spreadsheets, identifying and correcting any errors
  • Support the team in developing processes on-the-fly, with the flexibility to learn and adapt as needed
  • Exercise sound judgment and document decisions
  • Assist with ad hoc projects related to revenue operation
What You Will Bring
  • Extensive knowledge and application of ASC 606
  • Deep understanding of revenue recognition principles
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve calculation issues
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing problems
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with the ability to connect the dots and find solutions
  • Highly organized, especially when managing accounting data from multiple sources
  • Experience with intake processes and RSP analysis
  • Adaptable to policy and project changes
  • Proficient in handling large data volumes and modifying SQL queries
  • Skilled in improving existing frameworks and procedures
  • Systems experience: Google Sheets, SQL
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA).
  • 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance

  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.  
  • Pay Range: $85hr.
