About This Role

As a Data Migration Consultant, you will be responsible for planning and executing the seamless migration of data between systems while ensuring its integrity, security, and accuracy.  In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and implement solutions that meet business needs.  The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and has experience with various data migration tools and techniques.


What You Will Work On
  • Analyze data structures and develop data migration plans while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
  • Design and implement data mapping, transformation, and cleansing processes to ensure accurate and efficient data migration
  • Partner closely with IT, development teams, and business units to identify requirements, define data migration needs, and provide support during the migration process
  • Conduct thorough data validation and integrity checks, develop test cases, and support end-users in post-migration testing
  • Identify and resolve migration-related issues in real-time, ensuring data consistency and security
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the data migration processes, including mapping rules, data transformation logic, and issue resolutions
  • Proactively suggest enhancements to data migration strategies and participate in post-migration reviews

What You Will Bring
  • Minimum of 5-years in data migration, database management, or a similar role
  • Strong expertise in SQL and ETL tools as well as experience with data migration tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Azure Data Factory)
  • In-depth understanding of data models, structures, and database technologies (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL, cloud-based databases)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders

  • Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
    • Pay Range: $65-95/hr (W2)
